As long as they can remember, they’ve had a camera in their hands. From the film and dark rooms of their teen years when they first met, to the SD cards and computers of today, Carla and Joel have travelled the world documenting their life and surrounds with unyielding passion.

What inspires them is the beauty to be found in the very smallest things like a screen of drying chilli’s hanging charismatically from a Tuscan doorway to the enormity of the open expanse of the Tokyo skyline. But what drives them to do what they do, is the way these scenes can transport a viewer fondly to their own memory or even to transcend through the imagination to what could be.
